What makes a strong password?

A strong password should be: at least 12 characters, a mix of upper and lowercase letters, include numbers and special characters (!@#$), and avoid easily guessable words (name, birthdate). A 12-character random password would take a computer billions of years to crack.

Use a different password for each account. A password manager (Bitwarden or 1Password) means you don't have to remember all your passwords.

Common password mistakes

Avoid: using names, birthdates, or phone numbers as passwords. '123456', 'password', 'abc123' — these are cracked in seconds. Using the same password on multiple sites means one leak puts all accounts at risk.

Cybercrime is increasing in Bangladesh — use strong, unique passwords for your bank account, email, and social media.
